Every era has its own history. And when it comes to stories, the Hotel Gerbe has a lot to tell. The buildings of our hotel and Peters Restaurant have been documented since before the 17th century and were part of the Kreuzlingen monastery. They were used as a tannery, wine tavern and farm, which prompted the Jakob family to take root here in 1710, so that the history of family hospitality could begin. After the closure of the tannery in 1907, the hotel business gradually developed and the whole family continues to work on it today. Today, Peter and Dietlinde take care of the Hotel Gerbe and continue a long tradition. Because there is always something to do in the tannery.
